For the 2002-2005 Sonata, the entire front piece consisting of the middle vents down to the the ash tray/coin draw including the radio has to be pulled straight out ...not down or up. It takes abit of force but there isn't anything to break.Do not pull too far away of course as the wires etc would be starained. Putting back means checking your vents are in order and wires tucked back out of the way. I've got the brown wood finish so yu gotta shine back a little after your fingerprints are left there.

∙ 15y agoOpen the glovebox to remove the two screws securing the dash trim, then gently pry the trim to unclip it. Once removed, you'll need to unscrew the switches on either side of the radio. Behind the switches are six screws that hold the radio in place.

∙ 14y agoIt's really quite hard, you have to remove the two vertical posts at the side of the radio. To do this you have to remove the hand brake casing....
