How do you remove the radio on a 2005 Chrysler Sebring?

Answerok, there is one piece that is hiding the screws to take the radio out and it might be woodgrain but it might not be , anyways, this piece has 2 little screws one on each side of your ashtray. Take these out and pop the whole piece off, the piece should extend all the way up your radio and your traveller or boost control gauge if you have it and around your heater. There are no screws in the top of the piece, just clips that clip out when you pull on it slightly. Then holding the radio in will be 2 screws on opposite corners of each other take these off and then unplug the plugs in the back of the radio(there should be 3, 2 rectangular ones and one little round one that is your radio antenna. And that's it. I didnt want to attempt doing it but i got bored one day and realized that it is a really easy job to do.

1 pull off the front decorative piece that holds it all together.

2 There are 2 bolts holding it in, one on the top right and one in the bottom left. Take those out. you need an elongated rachet to do this.

3 Disconnect the ground.

4 Put in your new wireing harness and do the opposite.

It isn't that hard, just have to look in the right places. It explains itself.

== * Screwdrivers * Wiring harness adaptor * Chrysler radio mounting kit Step1 Pull the negative power cable from the battery. Secure the cable so it doesn't come in contact with any metal parts or the battery.

Step2 Remove the trim ring around the radio by pulling gently on the corner until the clips release. Unscrew the two mounting bolts, one on each side of the stereo, and pull the head unit out of the dash.

Step3 Disconnect the wires from the back of the head unit and set it aside. If you have the infinity sound system, unhook the single extra wire from the back. Connect the wiring harness adaptor to the old harness.

Step4 Secure the stereo head unit into the Chrysler mounting adaptor. Snap the wiring harness adaptor into the back of the new stereo along with the antenna wire. If the adaptor has a ground wire included, connect it to the screw at the bottom right side of the radio entry in the dash.

Step5 Slide the mounting adaptor into the Sebring dash and reconnect the negative cable onto the battery. Turn the radio on.

Step6 Test the speakers and controls of the new radio. Replace the two bolts at the front of the unit and snap the trim back into place
