How do you replace a door speaker in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited?

depends where you want to install them. the doors are real simple. just take the door panel off and rmove the old speakers. you need to make new holes for the speakers but it depends on what type of speakers you want. you can also use the same wiring from the other speakers if you want. tha back speakers are a little harder to get out.you have to take tha panel off i think but not sure.

You have a screw on the inside of the door near the side mirror, a screw behind the door handle, and 2 or 3 at the arm rest. the rest is carefully start pulling the lower part of the panel off from the bottom to the top. You will more than likely break a couple of plastic push pins that you can get from the parts store. Then the top part is a jiggle and wiggle to get it free. The speaker is now accessable from under the thin plastic.

its a pain in you're better off just paying curcuit city $45 and saving yourself the aggrevation. i have a 2000 and i tried to do mine and had nothing but problems

It can be done but you have to be prepared to pull the door panels & have some experience in wiring.

take door panel off you will see speaker on door take it out cut wires split wires wire the to new speaker + - put door panel back on that's how i did my Jeep
