First, remove the plastic cover from the steering column - this has three Torx (i.e. star drive) screws beneath the column and consists of two pieces.
The turn signal assembly is bolted onto the column with two Torx tamper-proof screws that require a special tool. I recommend getting a small set of Torx tamper-proof bits that can be connected to adapter handle or electric driver - this will be cheaper than buying a set of screwdrivers.
Remove the two mounting screws and then unscrew the electrical connector and pull it out of the slot.
Replace in reverse order.
pull the turn signal lever toward you.
Jeep does not use inertia/reset switches.
The headlight switch to the left of the steering wheel on the front of the dash acts as the dimmer. You spin the switch right or left depending on the intensity of the light you prefer.
Remove the oil pan and you will see the oil pump. Simply replace it.

After many many times of changeing the switch I put a relay in there that runs the power and konw that wire on the switch is the signal. Haven't had that problem since.
