Right behind the fan housing, you'll see two black hoses. The big one (about two inches around) is coming from top of the radiator. The smaller one (about an inch around) comes from the back of the engine compartment, where it's hooked to the heater core. Both of these hoses terminate at the front of the engine block. The piece that they are connected to holds the thermostat. Remove the two hoses then remove the two bolts holding the housing on and pop the old thermostat out. Put the new one in the same way the old one was, replace the gasket and button everything back up. You're done!
thermostats are always located at the end of upper hose at engine manifold except for some Ford and import witch are in lower hose end a few dodges have one center of upper hose under rad cap
There is no such thing as a 2002 Cherokee Laredo. The last year for the Cherokee was 2001, and the last year it came with the Laredo trim was 1992. I have a 2003 Cherokee Laredo so this awnser makes no sense at all. Do you have a GRAND Cherokee Laredo? Those are still being made. They are not the same as the Cherokee.
NoNo

No, you will need to remove the tank.
Purchase a Haynes manual from an auto parts store.

The fuel pump on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo is replaced by first lowering and removing the fuel tank. The fuel pump can then be lifted from the fuel tank and replaced.
