it seems as though you are not singing from your stomach or you are not warming your voice up properly. warming your voice up to do this, all you have to do is sing scales for approximately 2 or more minutes. singing from your stomach put your hand on your stomach, below your ribs, and sing. if your hands move in and out when you are breathing in between singing, you are doing it correctly. i could not tell you how to do this as i do not have the knowledge. it should come naturally though, within a few weeks.
