Problem solved...the culprit was bare neutral switch wires shorting out and blowing the fuse!!!!!

if it is a jeep Cherokee it needs a neutral safety switch mounted on the passenger side of the transmission. if it is a jeep grand Cherokee it needs the backup switch located on the drvers side of the transmission
