its true they say proper muffling like any muffler you can buy top head any evans e-ring or remo rings are perfect, and bottom head any card board or shipping boxes, cut a piece & clear tape until you get the sound you want and perfect tuner,it is very true they say any EL CHEAPO drums make them sound like pearl and any other expensive drums, just save those money for cheap cymbals
answer:
THE MAIN KEY IS TUNER DRUM DIAL OR TAMA TENSION WATCH,NOW IF YOU HAVE CHEAPO,YOU NEED EVANS RINGS OR REMO RINGS,IF YOU HAVE EXPENSIVE MADE DRUMS YOU DONT NEED IT BUT THE TUNER.OK ON TOMS 12" THEY ARE GOOD ON 40 ON YOUR TUNER,13" ON 35,WHAT I MEAN IS THE MORE TOMS ARE GETTING BIGGER FROM YOUR POINT YOUR ADDING 5 FROM YOUR TUNER,IF THEY ARE GETTING SMALLER FROM YOUR POINT THEY GET LESS 5 EACH,YOU GET THE POINT THEY SOUND GOOD ON THOSE NUMBERS BUT YOU CAN EXPERIMENTS THEM ALSO ON NUMBER THE MAIN THEY ARE CONSECUTIVE ON TOMS,BASS DRUM IS JUST ABOVE WRINKLE MEANS LOW ON TUNE, AND A PILLOW INSIDE FROM YOUR HOME YOU DONT NEED TO BUY IT AVAILABLE AT HOME.SNARE DRUM 70 BOTTOM AND ANYTHING ON TOP YOU CAN PLAY THE NUMBERS WITH IT AND THE MUFFLE RING,DUDE YOU WILL BE SURPRISE WHAT YOU WILL GET WITH EL CHEAPO,BUT IF THE DRUMS ARE TOP NOTCH YOU WILL BE AMAZING I MEAN TOP NOTCH THEN YOU DONT NEED MUFFLE THEM,REMEMBER IT IS TRUE THEY SAY PROPER CONSECUTIVE TUNING AND BALANCE THEM,THATS IT HOPE THIS HELPS!
There are many different types of drums heads and you can tune them all differently to give your drum set different sounds. There's no proper sounds either, it's all up to the person playing the drums and how they want them to sound.
guitar, harmonica, harp, drums, banjo, flute, violin, bass, saxaphone, keyboard, and lastly tuba
It doesn't matter, you're just supposed to tune one of the drums to that certain note.
Tuning steel drums requires a lot of skill. Normally, it is recommend to use a trained steel drum tuner. When your steel drum needs tuning, you may have to ship the steel drum back to the supplier and have them to tune it for you. If you are serious about learning to tune the steel drums, try the site in related links. It has very good instructions on how to tune a steel drum (steel pan). If you decide to tune the steel drum yourself, be very careful! You could cause serious damage to the instrument if not done correctly.
