Ahh now that's a very large questions, I'll give a little over view, starting with the basics, depending on what version you have, I have 6 and it's great, it is a really nice layout very simple, on 6 you have a main line of mixers at the top the amount depends on the amount of instruments, you also hav a main one for the general sound. Then you have the famously flexible rack. the rack is where you tune your sounds to the max, making your perfect sound for sampling or playing live or creating some window shattering noise... I mean tune :) then below that we have the sequencer which is the place where the magic of music happens, it's where you can create the notes for the tune and lay out your song into it's place. Then you have your instruments, Thor, Redrum, Kong, SubTractor, Maëlstrom, redrum is your drum computer load up your file for drums and create a beat, use Thor to make that dirty dub bass, or fuzzy synth, or chilled pads, SubTractor a sub bass, and use preset sounds in Maëlstrom and combine them, then you have your all important Mclass effects, EQ, compressor, maximiser, stereo imager, they are really helpful in toning your sounds and song to it's full potential, then you have a few little effect piece, just play around with them, you've also got the all important combinator, combining sounds and instruments in many different ways, you also have a matrix sequencer allowing soun to travel through to your ears in a different pattern, you then have a connection system allowing a massive musical flexibility called ReWire, if you have another piece of software like ableton, you can link it as the master or slave system. Clever eh? You'll just have to play around with it for better results an remember practice makes perfect :)
