There's nothing very formal about it, and most choirs will be very happy to have you join them. It's best if you know or find out the name of the minister or choir master. The minister is addressed as 'dear Reverend , the choir master simply as 'dear Mr. . You then simply state that you would very much like to join the choir, you state your age and whether or not you have any prior musical education and/or experience (and what kind) and whether you can read music a little bit - or even with some ease (they like it if you can, but otherwise they'll teach you). If you have any idea yourself, tell them what kind of voice you have. Depending on how high or low you can sing, that's either soprano, mezzo or alto if you're female; and tenor, baritone or bass singer if you're male. Don't forget to write how they can best reach you.

How do you join Hillsong group?

You cannot just join Hillsong group. You would need to audition, but that's only if they are recruiting more members.Suggestions from our contributors:Instead of joining Hillsong's group, you starting your own worship group with some church friends would be a lot of fun, for you and your church! You could do your own version of worship songs, and perform at your local church. Who knows, someday soon someone on WikiAnswers might be asking "How do you join (your worship group's name)?"

Those who pass the application tape are then invited to take the music skills test at the Tabernacle. The test will including idenfying major and minor keys, key tones, pitch, harmony, rhythm, andother itemsby ear. Those who recieve 80% or higher on the test will then audition in person in which they will sight read a challenging and unfamiliar piece of music. Those who do well in the audition then join the Temple Square Chorale, a training school for prospective choir members. Most who are invited to join the Chorale will be admitted into the choir when the choir director feels they are ready. When to use 'join in' and when to use 'join'?

The meanings aren't very much different. "Join in" is a more informal phrase usually used to encourage someone to participate in an activity that is already in progress. For example, the church bulletin may say "To join the choir, come to rehearsal on Thursday." A choir leader who wants everyone to sing might turn towards the congregation and say "Let's all join in with the choir!"
