The Morrison Planetarium is named after Alexander Francis Morrison, a San Francisco attorney and philanthropist who lived from 1856 to 1921. Mr. Morrison founded the law firm now known as Morrison & Foerster in 1883. He became a member of the California Academy of Sciences in 1906 and a patron in 1916. After his death in 1921, his widow, May Treat Morrison, became an Academy member and Trustee and eventually bequeathed a substantial sum to the Academy for the construction of a memorial to her husband.
Jim Morrison's two nicknames were: Mr. Mojo Risin, an anagram for Jim Morrison and the Lizard King, as he was dubbed by friends and fans. He was called that only by the fans... I met John Densmore (The drummer of The Doors) and read his book, they (The band) always refereed to Jim as Jimbo, or just Jim. They called him Mr Mojo Risin for the anagram part, but only during the recording of LA Woman.

Cassie saw Mr. Morrison coming up the road from the top of her cotton pole in "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry." Mr. Morrison was a big and strong man who worked for the Logan family and was devoted to protecting them.
L.T. is L.T. Morrison, but in the book they say he is Mr. Morrison.
Mr. Morrison is a big, strong man who used to work on the Logan family farm in "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry." He comes to help protect the Logan family after Stacey gets in trouble at school. Mr. Morrison serves as a protector and a father figure for the Logan children.
Mr. Morrison is one of Papa's friends from his job at the railroad. Mr. Morrison was sent by Papa to help around the Logan family (Mama, Big Ma, Stacey, Cassie, Christopher John, and Little Man) while Papa is at work and away from home. Mr. Morrison is characterized as a tall, strong, and quiet man, yet very protective of the children. He is African-American as well and plays big roles in the story.
Cassie was rescued from Mr. Sims in roll of thunder hear my cry because when Cassie bunmped into Lillian Jean, she had to applologize to Lillian Jean for "pushing" her. Big Ma made Cassie appologize to the Sims. For a moment, Cassie understood why Big Ma made her applologize (so there would not be any fighting going on between a black girl and a white girl).
When Kaleb Wallace confronts Mr. Morrison, Mr. Morrison knows that Kaleb Wallace will not get violent because Kaleb has no group backing him and no gun. So Mr. Morrison endures Kaleb's insults and avoids a more dangerous exchange. What does the fact that Kaleb Wallace will not fight Mr. Morrison one-on-one tell you about him. How might Uncle Hammer have handled the same situation?
Mr Morrison avoided Kaleb Wallace by ignoring him and not paying attention to him its an everyday problem when Mr Morrison also gets emotional deep inside you know that Mr Morrison is not an happy bunny
Mr.Morrison is hired by Cassies father to help work the land since he had lost his job after getting in a fight with whit men.
Cassie becomes angry at Mr. Barnett because he refuses to let her and her brothers enter the store through the front entrance, like white customers are allowed to do. This segregation and discrimination make Cassie feel marginalized and angry at the unfair treatment.
