It looks like am much larger recorder. It has a few extra keys and a reed which is a small wooden piece that you suck on and then put into the liguture which is two screws which keep the mouthpiece together. The last piece is called a bell and it looks like a bell on the outside. The clarinets inside looks like a cylinder with a tiny piece of it sticking out slightly in one spot.
The Bb Clarinet has 5 main sections.
The mouthpiece is the very top where the player blows into the instrument. On the mouthpiece is where the reed and ligature are attached to create the sound going into the instrument.
Next in the barrel that looks circular and usually about 2 inches long on a Bb clarinet.
Next is the first joint that has silver keys and is about 6 inches long.
Next is the second joint that is about the same length and also has silver keys.
Last is the bell.
There are many different versions of the clarinet, and they all vary in looks.
