How do you attach a lyre to a trumpet?

It depends on your particular lyre. Some will clip onto the end of the bell, or somewhere else on the tubing. Others will slide through the space normally reserved for the third valve slide ring (you may or may not be able to make use of this type, depending on your Trumpet).

The Clarinet lyre fits between the first joint (first larger section) and second joint (second larger section) of the clarinet. The purpose of the lyre is to hold any flip folder for music so that music can be played while marching or standing up without having to memorize the music.

There is a ring above the lower joint of the assembled clarinet. It will have a small screw and metal loop meant to hold your lyre. Unscrew the screw with your fingers, slid the lyre into the loop and screw the screw back in. Now your lyre is attached to the clarinet.

Disconnect the upper and lower joints, put the ring of the lyre on the lower joint, tighten the lyre, reconnect the upper and lower joints.

On the front of your Bass Clarinet, right below where you attach the metal head joint, there should be a screw thing sticking out below. Place the lyre in there, and screw in. Should work
