Hi-Yo Silver is the famous refrain from the Lone Ranger to his horse. The Lone Ranger started as a radio program in the 1930's culminating in a tv series in the 1950's. The intro music was William Tell's overture and the tv series started with, "A fiery horse with the speed of light. A cloud of dust and a hearty Hi-Yo, Silver! The Lone Ranger!" Whenever the Lone Ranger needed to get somewhere and in a hurry, he would always say to his horse, which was named Silver, "Hi-Yo Silver, away"
