The "dot" is like the musical version of the phrase "and a half." Dotted quarter notes are equal to 1-1/2 quarter notes. By the same token, dotted half notes are equal to 1-1/2 half notes, or the same as 3 quarter notes.
In a 4/4 time signature, a dotted quarter note is equal to 1-1/2 beats.

Depends on your time signature.
If it is in 3/8 time, then it lasts for 1.5 beats.
I think or it's probably one and a half counts
1 1/2 semiquaver beats. The dot adds half of the notes value.

Four semiquavers can be played in the time of one crotchet.
Three.A dotted note is always one and a half times the length of the original note.So a dotted quaver is 1.5 quavers. A semi-quaver, half a quaver, is 0.5 quavers.1.5 ÷ 0.5 = 3.
A dotted quaver :)
What kind of note? Dotted quarter note=1 and a half counts (ends on "and") Dotted half note=3 counts Dotted whole note=6 counts Anything dotted in musical notation is the worth of the note+half of it's worth (example, half note[2]+half of a half note[1]=3 counts) Thanks, Nate

I think it might be 12
Half of a dotted crotchet is a dotted quaver.

There are six quavers in a dotted minim.
A dotted quaver :)
If the crotchet is considered to have the unit beat, a semiquaver has 1/4 beats.
The duration of three tied semiquavers is equivalent to a dotted quaver.
A dotted note is worth one and a half times the worth of the same note without the dot. eg. a crotchet is worth 1 beat so a dotted crotchet is worth 1 and 1/2 beats. or, a quaver is worth 1/2 a beat so a dotted quaver is worth 3/4 of a beat.
