Yes, some Skillet songs do have questionable meanings. For example, "The Last Night" "It's Not Me It's You" "Monster" "Hero" "Better than Drugs" and "Alien Youth" could have questionable meanings. Some songs can have two different meanings, which makes a song questionable.
I think skillet has around 5 million fans. They have a lot of subscribers on youtube and most of the skillet fans probably do not subscribe to them so the nearest estimate of skillet fans is 5 million!
As Skillet is a Christian band, yes all of their songs are Christian. However, not all of their songs are talking about Jesus Christ. Some of their songs are talking about situations that Christians go through.
Skillet's first record was released in 1996

Skillet's most popular songs as of 2010 areMonsterHeroAwake And AliveWhispers In the DarkComatoseThe Last Night.
Every Skillet song means something different. Skillet's songs have no huge meaning that connect together, or meanings that are self defying. However, a lot of their songs are based on depression, sorrow and crying out for salvation. For example, "Last Night" is about a girl wanting to kill herself but her friend won't let her. In "Never Surrender" it mentions about wanting to give up but needing to stay strong. Also in "Falling in the Black" it mentions depression like elements. But Skillet's songs all mean something different, but most are based on sorrow and depression.
