The chromatic scale has 12 notes:

A

A#/Bb

B

C

C#/Db

D

D#/Eb

E

F

F#/Gb

G

G#/Ab

Back in the day before circular tuning, some of the enharmonics were considered different notes, giving a total of 14 pitches. Highly-attuned musicians finding themselves on the third or fifth of a chord may adjust slightly, but the note names are the same.
