The last five of ABBA's eight studio albums all reached #1 in the UK:
Arrival (1976)
The Album (1977)
Voulez-Vous (1979)
Super Trouper (1980)
The Visitors (1981)
Four compilation albums also reached #1:
Greatest Hits (1975)
Greatest Hits Vol. 2 (1979)
The Singles (1982)
Gold (1992)
Gold is 13x Platinum in the UK (about 4.6 million sold). It is the third biggest selling album in British history, has been in the top 100 for almost 500 weeks and hit number one on at least five different occasions, the last time in 2008. It shares the title of longest charting album in UK Chart history (with Queen's Greatest Hits).
Abba had two #1 singles in the U.K. in the early 1980s: "The Winner Takes it All" was number 1 for two weeks in August of 1980, while "Super Trouper" was at the top of the chart for three weeks in November, 1980. (There are those who insist that "One of Us" would have made #1 in late 1981 -- it did on some regional charts -- but there was no national chart published over the holidays. Officially it peaked at #3.)
9 #1 singles.
