Exempting all there covers or soundtracks, they have 95 songs on 9 albums.
Dave Mustaine wrote the "Mechanix" and "Jump in the Fire". The Mechanix can be found in several of Metallica's bootlegs and demos, the lyrics were about sex at a car mechanics. When he was kicked out, Hetfield wrote new lyrics, and the band added an extra section, a bridge and a solo. The end result was "the Four Horsemen". Megadeth's debut album has "Mechanix", which is the original song with an added intro and a much faster tempo.
Mustaine was credited with participation in "Phantom Lord" (where we created the riff towards the end of the song's bridge before Hammet's solo, this riff would later appear on Megadeth's album Countdown to Extinction); "Metal Militia"; "Ride the Lightning" (Mustaine wrote a single riff that appears before Hammet's solo) and "Call of Ktulu" (Mustaine wrote a part of the intro. The D-minor progression of the song was later used in Megadeth's Hangar 18, and the chord used just after the intro riff closes the Megadeth song "Foreclosure of a Dream").
There are no other credits after Ride the Lightning, but in interviews Mustaine already claimed he created more content than Metallica likes to recognise.
