It kind of depends, if you want to fully dye your hair, then yeah a week or maybe even two since your hair does go into shock after dyeing or cutting it BUT if you use a cap to do maybe streaks or something, then you won't suffer from your scalp getting sores BUT keep in mind your hair does become very brittle the more you do this, also, your ends look very dry and burnt like if you were to straighten it. Hair should be washed every other day, or every two days. Washing your hair everyday could make your hair damaged or dry. Although, if your hair is oily, then talk to your local haircutting place about if you should wash your hair everyday or not. It's even worse to wash it twice a day, as some people do. It depends on what your hair is like, if it is oily, then you probably want to wash it more often. If you hair is normal and silky, then washing it every other day or every two days is a great way to take care of it.

Twice a week suffice. If you wash it more often then that the scalp keeps producing more oil to not dry out and that means you will have oily hair every day so you then feel you have to wash it every day. If you wash it every day now it will take a while until it goes back to normal but just stick by it.
