It depends on which Billboard chart you are referring to. But in my opinion, she is such an under-rated artist, who is an awesome and one of the only *child-friendly* artist.
It is doubtful Kelly Clarkson auditioned for the part of Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana debuted in March of 2006. Miley Cyrus was 14 and played a 14 year old on the show. Kelly Clarkson would have been to old to play this part. She is ten years older than Miley Cyrus and would not have been able to pass as a young student. Additionally, Kelly Clarkson was releasing a new album in 2006. She would not have had the time to lend to a starring role on a disney program. Her focus is her music.

That depends on perspective my friend :D But personally she is very down-to-earth, real. And in the ten years of her career, she has stayed true to herself.

Because it rhymes! I think Derby Kelly was a singer, I seem to recall she was the first woman to have 2 songs in the UK top ten simultaneously (don't ask me why I know that, I think I read it somewhere... quite possibly a spurious source).
