What is any info on a Ranger 22 Long Pat MCH 28. 71 May 27 79?

Answer I have the same firearm. I know its pre 1898. There is no manufacturer name anywhere on the gun. What is you serial number? mines 9119. I paid $38.00 for it on gunbroker.com. From my own research I believe it to be eather an E.L.Dickinson "Ranger 22 Long" but the hammer shape is different from what I seen in the photo of the Dickinson. I also believe it may be a HOPKINS & ALLEN Just cause the hammers are really similar and they had a popular model called "Ranger number 2"
