I moved from California to Arkansas in 1994, but when I was there it was 10.00 dolars for every mile over the speed limit. brewski I have gotten that speeding ticket before, & I do recall is cost me 102.00 but that's because I pleaded to the judge saying that I'm a student & I work full-time and he gave me a break. But I think before he lowered the bail it was 180.00. MizzCorleone

== == "How much would a speeding ticket cost in Georgia for going through a 55mph construction zone at 85mph?" Only the Georgia traffic court listed on your ticket can give you an accurate answer. Based on previous situations a 30mph over ticket is around 388.00 which will be doubled to a whopping 776.00. The fine and the resulting insurance rate increase make it worthwhile to retain an attorney. == == In addition, in some states, you would also be charged with reckless driving, if there were construction workers on the site at the time of the infraction.

Depends on your state, but in MA, for instance, it's $75 for the first 10 over, plus $10 for each additional MPH, then double that for the "double fine", for a grand total of (75+50) x 2 = $250.
As soon as you pass the sign. If you are in a 65 MPH zone and it changes to 55MPH, you are expected to be at 55 MPH at the sign.
So that you will either: Admit to speeding. As in, "Oh probably 60 or 65" where the posted speed limit is 55mph. You've just confessed to speeding and will most probably lose if you try to fight the ticket in court. or: Admit to inattentiveness. As in, "No officer, I have no idea how fast I was going." It is a loaded question that will not help you by answering in either fashion, but those are the responses the police get the vast majority of the time. A much better answer would be, "Officer, I do not wish to answer that question. Thank you"
55mph = 88.5km/h

Pretty sure 35mph over is a felony. Police/Courts/State will have no remorse being that you are 19. Slow the F down! Ticket could be upwards of $250, possible jail-time or suspension of license. All depends on what you get charged with. Not to mention your insurance premium is going to go up a ton.
