Do not know where they are made. Some Internet indications refer to Riverside, California. However they are pretty much beginner flutes. Cheaply made of nickel. Goos student flutes are silver-nickel or silver. Quite evident by the flutes weight and "tinny" sound.
cost about 80
Yamaha flutes are well made and have a price tag that matches. They can be purchased new from Yamaha dealers and average about $1200-1600 per instrument.
The more expensive, better quality flutes are usually made of silver alloys. Less expensive are the nickel alloy flutes (usually silver-plated). Even so, flutes have been made from wood, gold, glass, and all sorts of different materials, but for a serious flautist, solid silver alloys would probably be the most popular.

heck, yes! they can be as expensive as a car! the beginner flutes are in the normal range for instruments, though.
Both models are beginner flutes and are very similar. However, YFL 221N has nickel plating while YFL 221 has silver plating.
You can get a cheap drum set for around $250.
Usually a set of clubs for a beginner cost about 100 to 200 dollars. anonymous@oola.com
about a thousand
Learning software may cost anywhere between two to two hundred dollars depending on the intended level of education. Advanced courses will cost more than beginner.
As a musician, I would recommend one of the Yamaha Student model flutes. Beautiful sound, beautiful instruments, but still affordable-Caitlin The Gemeinhardt 2SP is also a wonderful-and fairly inexpensive-flute for a beginner. Avoid "open hole" models as they are much more difficult to control! And remember: only perfect practice makes perfect!-InThree21
flutes ARE pretty!
If you are talking drumsets, they are a beginner set - and I mean beginner. But if they are for a beginner, then they will work. Just don't expect too much.
