Most radio advertising sales jobs are 100%. The company will give you a small draw of $2,000 - $3,000 per month. Draw hits on the 1st and your commission for the month previous hits on 15th. Some radio companies pay on collections while others will pay on sale but charge back the commission if the client does not pay within 90 days. Most radio people like to be paid on collections as the company can't take it back and they have some influence on when they are paid commissions.

As you can imagine, the pay varies based on experience, account list and region you cover. Beginners usually make $24-60k while veterans make $80-150k. A few people have made over $200k, however, these are lucrative deals that are few and far between. It is very common for a radio company to reassign accounts if a rep is making over $150k. Regional and national sales managers typically make the most money because their territory is larger and protected.
