I have a .22 caliber slide action model 1890, but i want to know how much it is worth.
Just yesterday I took my Model 99M .308 to Cabela's Gun Library experts (in Rapid City, SD) for an insurance valuation and they told me it would be valued at around $800. Mine is a non-takedown model in very good condition. It has checkering on the forearm and grip, gold trigger, rotary mag, shell counter, original sling, etc. However, based on my own research and the values they put on my antique Winchesters, I think they may have been a little on the low side.
I don't know what the numbers on the trigger are unless they are a part number, but you can add about 25% to the asking price for a single selective trigger.
Yes, in that the trigger puts the horn in B-flat
It turns it into a B flat horn, the fingerings change when you hold down the trigger.
rifle basix makes the trigger of your dreams..
Yes.
The bolts are always polished and may look like they're chrome, but the give-away will be the bolt handle. The bolt handle should be blued. If the handle is chromed, the gun has been modified, they didn't come in chrome.
There were a few that do not have a standard trigger, but use a THUMB trigger. Do a web IMAGE search for Winchester thumb trigger rifle, and you will find it.
I have a CNC Billet Aluminum tube fed trigger guard for a Winchester model 77. I have then polished or hard black anoidzed.
Best left to a trained gunsmith
About $350.00
None
On the bottom of the rifle in front of the trigger assembly
the fact the gun was chromed detracts from original condition and lessens the value. Estimate $250 $350
A little.
Do not attempt this. Have it done by a gunmsith.
look for the # on the trigger area
