I got mine for about, 600 American dollars, if it is more than that, it is a rip off.
As much as someone learning to play violin is willing to pay for it. They aren't the best but are great for students.
It will depend on the amount of damage and what your rental contract says. The maximum should be no more than the value of the violin.

It depends on what you want to do with it. Are you a student, a reasonably good amateur, or a professional? If you are a student, you can probably expect to pay around $250-$500 for a starter kit, which includes the violin, bow, and case. A good manufacturer to look for is Glaesel. They produce sturdy instruments of reasonable quality for a beginner. Of course, if the student is young, you may want to rent instead of buy, because they will change violin sizes as they grow. In terms of a good amateur violin, you will pay around $2000-$4000. This does not include the bow or case. And if you are a professional, the sky is the limit! Stradavariuses can go for millions.
google it. it's really not that hard to find. violin 1 and 2 are both online but you have to pay for most of them. some you can get for free.

at the most you should have to pay 800$
300 bucks won't buy you much. I would think of that as "beginner". With violins the sky is the limit. It is a bit like this, if you buy a violin you will pay what you think it is worth.
Banquet facilities should be more accommodating for how much you pay.
i think you should pay about $500 for a decent laptop or netbook
They should pay anywhere from $250 to $300.
