In order to asses the per-gig fee of a band like U2 you have to asses the sucess of the band. In the case of U2 we are dealing with one of the most sucessful rock bands of all time. They have millions of fans of a varying demographic in most countries.
They are known as a stadium band or " arena rockers " and usually play infront of an audience of 45,000 to 60,000 people. Multiply those figures by say an average ticket price of 85$ and you have a multi-million dollar figure. Ofcourse the venue has mega expenses to campaign a U2 show but you can rest assure that the band takes home well into the six figures.
My educated guess: $200,000 USD
