Yes, if you still have OD limit and No, if you have exhausted your OD limit. Let us say your OD limit is $10,000 and you have used $7,000 and you have given a cheque for $2000, then your cheque would be cashed. If you have used $9,800 and given a cheque for $2000 your cheque would be rejected.
Not necessarily ... the check may not have been cashed as it may have gotten lost. You need to check with the party to whom you sent it ... ask for written certification that they indeed received it and marked your account "paid in full".
An uncredited check is either a check that was not cashed or submitted for payment by the person to whom the check as given or a check that was not paid due to certain reasons pertaining to the rules of check clearance.
A Bearer cheque is one which the bearer (the person to whom the cheque was issued) can present at the bank on which the cheque was given and receive the cash For ex: If I give you a cheque on my ICICI Bank account in Chennai to you, you can take that cheque to any ICICI bank branch in Chennai and collect the cash that is written on it (if i have sufficient balance in my account) whereas a crossed cheque is one that cannot be cashed as said above. It can only be deposited into the payees (your) bank account
Usually Cheques issued by banks have a city associated with them. For ex: if I give you a cheque from my bank account in Chennai, India, and you want to deposit it in your account in Delhi, India, it is an outstation cheque and your bank will charge you a fee for cashing that cheque. Usually around Rs. 50/- If my bank has given me a multicity cheque - it means that when you deposit it in Delhi, your bank will not charge you this cheque cashing fee because my check is the same irrespective of which city in India it is cashed.
A cheque which has been given to a creditor but which has not yet been received and processed by the writer's bank.
If you have been given a cheque by somebody and that cheque bounced you can file a legal petition against them. If you have been giving cheques that would bounce, you can be legally prosecuted.
please given us a cheque book of saving bank account
I have been given a cheque made out for CASH am I able to cash it at any bank
Adjusted for inflation, $1 of bonds then is worth $11 now.
It would be polite to remind the person/business to whom the cheque was sent/given that it has not yet been presented. A cheque has a lifespan of 6 months (generally) and after that, if it were to be presented, a bank can refuse to honour it.
If you have written and signed this cheque and given it to someone to pay for something then, in most countries, it is not lawful to hold payment on the cheque. If you have a problem with what you have purchased then the law of contract or consumer protection laws are your recourse.
