Probably not enough to stop you from driving that way. When you're driving you have a responsibility to everyone else on the road and driving in that way endangers everyone around you. If the officer wrote it as reckless driving you'll pay a lot. Otherwise it will probably be around $100
^^
The above answer is self-righteous claptrap. The speed of traffic on most 55 zones often is 70-80 mph. Driving with the flow of traffic is much safer than driving the 50 years outdated/too low speed limit. The poster most likely did not endanger anyone, unless they weaved, failed to signal, or tailgated.
I would wager that it is a lot more than $100. You would be advised to contact with a lawyer, or at least delay the court date as much as possible. Transferring it to another jurisdiction will also make it less likely for the cop to show up.
Yes. Virginia reports to Ohio.
I wish I knew because I just got one today for doing 84 in a 70
I recieved a ticket for going 80 in a 70 zone and it is $180.
$149
The fine for a speeding ticket normally depends on the actual speed, not on the age of the driver or how many other tickets you have.
The cost in Ohio will be $189. $124 in a non construction zone. I've heard conflicting answers on arguing if it matters if workers are present or not.
