There's no limit, in all honesty. A lot of people don't do grades at all. If you feel you want to, you only need to do them as you feel ready. There's no point entering a grade that you're not ready for, just because you haven't taken a grade for however long.
I play Flute, and there was two years between grade 6 and 8 (I didn't do grade 7).
Grade 4
Grade 9
Monti's "Czardas" is generally considered to be around Grade 8 level due to its technical demands and expressive playing required. Chopin's "Nocturne in C sharp minor" is often classified as a Grade 6 to 7 piece, as it involves expressive phrasing and some technical challenges, though it's primarily a piano work often adapted for violin. The grading can vary slightly depending on the examination board.

Keep practicing! It will only get easier if you do it.
I took piano lessons in first grade and picked up the violin in fourth grade. Personally, I liked the violin better but it's probably best to let the child decide which instrument they prefer. Though, to be fair, they'd have to learn two clefs (bass and treble) to play the piano and only one (treble) to play the violin.
you should talk to them and become friends! get their phone number. this will help you stay in touch and see them more often.
There ok but there not the best violin, You should try it out before you buy it.
Play the violin, I do. Flute is just blowing and pressing. In violin there's all sorts of techniques. Arco, pizzacato, things like that. You'll love violin.
