This depends on whether you are asking about Emmy Rossum as an actress or as Christine herself. As an actress she was on 17 during filming of Phantom of the Opera. However, In the Lofficier translation of the novel, it is stated that Christine is 15 years old. This is a mistranslation of a passage which says her heart was "as pure as that of a 15 year old". The evidence of Christine's childhood friendship with Raoul, and her studies at the Paris Conservatory, put her age at 20.
I don't have a clue. I imagine it was alot. Because of her beautiful voice and performance.

There is only one that was filmed at the Opera Garnier. It is called The Phantom of the Opera :), and stars Charles Dance as Erik, and Teri Polo as Christine. I would highly recommend watching it; it is a lovely film, and an interesting take on the Phantom's story.

In Andrew Lloyd Webber--Phantom of the Opera both stage and film, the Phantom is singing. Yes, there is a scene in the Andrew Lloyd Webber's 2004 version of Phantom of the Opera has no singing. It is the scene that Maddame Giry tells her tale of the Phantom and his childhood. In that scene there is no talking ethier though. There are many parts scattered around the movie though, that have talking. You just have to look for them. 1925 with Lon Chaney, he is not singing at all through out the silent film. 1943 with Claude Rains, he is not singing at all through out the first colored film. Only Raoul and Christine sings.
