A serial number is the best way to verify how old a Selmer Signet Soloist trumpet is. As a general rule, these horns were first made in the late 1960s, around 1967 to 1969.
It had to have been made between 1975 and 1980.
I have a wood selmer signet oboe. Serial #022227. Intermediate level. What's it worth. Plays fine.
2946
About $1500 if in good condition

Selmer guitars are no longer manufactured; I can not tell exactly, but any selmer is worth at least 15.000,00 US. If your do have this one to sell, you are about to have a stack of money.
Depends on the model detail, the original retail is 1200+, now should worth maybe 600 depends on the condition.
A Selmer trumpet with a serial number of 43417 was made in 1950, so as of 2013 it is 63 years old. All Selmer trumpets have a serial number and there is a chart that shows what year the trumpet was made.
