You'll need a router, to cut a cavity for the Floyd Rose to sit in. Typically when you purchase one there will be instrustions on how big the cavity will need to be. This is not an easy operation and you could easily ruin your guitar so be careful. You'll have to repaint your guitar as well, so plan on tacking on some paint.

Can you put a Floyd rose on a ibanez grg170dx?

you can put a floyd rose on pretty much any guitar , but since you'd have to spend a lot to cut wood out of the guitar and all that go with a Kahler 2200 or hybrid , there's other brands which you can go with that do the same things as floyd roses without the wood cutting. it costs 400$ last time i checked to route a guitar for a floyd rose, either spend that or half that on a kahler, its up to you

How do you install a Floyd Rose tremolo on a Peavey Patriot that has no tremolo installed?

you'd have to cut some wood out of the guitar like any other Floyd rose installation, to do so it costs about 300 or 400 dollars from what I've heard from others, but if you want something cheaper go with Kahler, they mount right on top of the guitars body and its still a whammy.

Does a Floyd rose tremolo bridge fit on a B.C. rich warlock?

if its routed for (cut for) it absolutely, i put an original floyd rose which is the higher end model in a bc rich that had a licensed one , if the guitar doesnt have a floyd rose in it like just a normal bridge you'll have to do some routing.

Is ibanez a good guitar?

I own an Ibanez RG350MDX it's the only electric I have and I've had it for 2 years and enjoy it very much, If it's a first guitar stay away from guitars with floating bridge tremolo system(ie. Floyd Rose) they are very sensitive and can be difficult to adjust. Keep Rocking \m/

What are the advantages of a non-floating Floyd Rose system compared to a floating Floyd Rose system?

The advantages of a non-floating Floyd Rose system over a floating Floyd Rose system include easier tuning stability, simpler setup, and less maintenance required.

How do you set up a Floyd Rose tremolo system on a guitar?

To set up a Floyd Rose tremolo system on a guitar, first loosen the strings and remove the existing bridge. Install the Floyd Rose bridge, ensuring it is level with the guitar body. Reattach the strings and tune them to pitch. Adjust the spring tension in the back cavity to balance the bridge. Fine-tune the bridge using the fine tuners on the bridge itself.

How do you install Floyd rose?

well first plan it out , how is the floyd rose gonna sit on the guitar , than route the wood with the right tools , put the two screws inside the guitar assuming you've got say an epiphone les paul and place the claw ,springs and floyd rose in and adjust the tension. Kahler 2200 and a few other tremolos will fit right on top of the guitars face with little to no wood routing (cutting) and work just as great, I can't suggest Kahler Hybrids enough though once they lock you can tune to other tunings. make sure to add a locking nut on the nut as this will improve the floyd roses tuning stabillity and its cheaper to go with those Kahlers or a new/used guitar with a floyd rose in it. I bought a Jackson and a few other used guitars with floyd roses for half the price of getting a guitar modified to have a floyd rose in it. also guitars with floyd roses i find are bigger and wider than average guitars it won't sound dead on like a friends guitar with a floyd rose even if you match the woods... I'm basing this opinion on two BC Rich beasts I owned at the same time, same woods and everything just the second beast was bigger with the floyd rose.
