No. But you shouldn't be getting married until you're at least 18. I myself am 16 and im with someone i love very much and plan to marry some day if things go right. that's IF they go right. you don't want to rush into things because people change alot as they age. you might love things the way they are right now but after a while things will change and its something no one can avoid. so just wait until he is ready . if you know your ready then its a game of waiting.this is my first time 2 do this so hope it helped someone :) .. and boys???? .... Engagement is not actually a legally binding agreement and as such it's fine to get engaged at the age of 16.
Marriage though, I have to agree, is something far more serious. 18 is early to marry as well because you still have a lot of "growing" to do. Not physically (hopefully) but mentally and spiritually. You are going to change our mind about many things, and you are going to see things from a different perspective.
Hopefully the love for your boyfriend/girlfriend will remain and you will only feel more sure of each other after staying together for a few years. If it is meant to be, waiting will make no difference :)

∙ 16y agoNo, but be sure you really know what you want out of life first. Really think hard about it. You obviously love the young man you are with, but once you are married then things do change and many of the opportunities may have to be held off for you while you work, be a housewife and perhaps start raising children soon after the marriage. Careers have been known to be held back for women once married. Also there is travelling to see the world even if it is just a few countries. Youth slips by so quickly and you can never retain it again. If you are sure then get engaged. You can be engaged for any length of time you both prefer. You are no longer a minor at 19 years of age so you can get married if you like. If you are two very mature young people then perhaps marriage is for you. Good luck!
