Eh... Personally I'd say neither. They are metalcore with synth elements. Metalcore is a fusion of metal and punk/hardcore elements. Some metalcore bands lean more towards metal, others don't. I'd say AA doesn't. They're more on the post-hardcore side.
Screamo is different. Screamo is a fusion of emo and hardcore, of which Asking Alexandria is neither.
