Before Cassie's "Official Girl" song and video was released to the public, they WERE secretly planning on getting married in the Spring after her newest album was released. They've actually been an off and on couple since Cassie first got signed to Bad Boy in 2005.
But they kept it low key, because Cassie at the time was already being romantically linked by the media to a lot of men including Diddy's side kick / songwriter / rapper Ryan Leslie who is partially invested in the NextSelection management group. That's another reason why people believed Cassie was messing around with Ryan L because shortly after her contract with Bad Boy was sealed, she quickly became the "Princess of Bad Boy Next Selection"
ironically right in the middle of the allegations that she was sleeping around with heavy music hitters in the game in order to secure a spot in the music industry her self.
I don't believe they are engaged anymore, but that song Official Girl featuring Lil Wayne if you watch closely is very suspicious seeing as how she starts out with walking a big company with a file in her hand and throwing it on the man's desk who happens to be a CEO of some sort his self very much like Diddy.
