Yes he has. He is far from being a virtuoso but his sound is very peculiar. When you listen to his playing you can immediately tell that is Iron Maiden. His style embodies the sound that Iron Maiden is all about.
He also has one of the best -if not the best- legato (hammer-on pull-off) techniques in metal. To top things off he is a super nice guy.
