Yes. First of all, they have amazing, easy-to-relate-to lyrics. "The Last Night" is about a girl about to commit suicide, but then 'God' comes. And tells her everything is okay :)
"Better Than Drugs" is also great. The lyrics are so good!

So the answer would be yes, people like Skillet.
Most people like them because they're rock, and they listen to them not knowing they're Christian rock. Check their lyrics to "You Are My Hope" and "Stand"
Others, like me, like them because of their lyrics. Their lyrics are amazing!
