No.2's name was Paul Gray. He died of substance overdose on May 24, 2010. He was their bass player. Slipknot were on short hiatus as the members grieved in their own ways. M Shawn Crahan said in an interview with BLUNT magazine "Slipknot will be back"

∙ 13y agoSlipknot claims they do not have any future plans going on. They said the band will be taking a break until 2012 because of the side projects of some band members and the death of one, Paul Gray. R.I.P paul, we miss you dearly.
