If you are asking about the Yamaha signiture mouthpiece, then this is a lead mouthpiece, it is very shallow.

There's no such thing as a "lead" trumpet mouthpiece which is substantially different from any other trumpet mouthpiece. The "Lead" moniker is simply added to make it attractive to players who believe that it will make them play as good as a lead player. You should purchase a mouthpiece based on your own experience, embouchure and mouth and teeth placement.
