no,yet they have been seen with a confederate flag and brian haner (synyster gates) does have a confederate flag guitar,and Matt sanders(M. shadows) was a fan of nazi band screwdriver but they are not racist iv been to several of their concerts and seen pics of them with other raced fans and if you look at various pics of them you will see them with a girl named yoyo suicide who is black so i don't think they are and alot of people will tell you that

They are all fairly conservative in their politics, Shadows has mentioned being a fan of Nazi punk band Skrewdriver in the past and Synyster Gates does have a Confederate Flag guitar, however I've hung out with them in the past (I'm of Indian and Polynesian descent) and I can safely say they aren't racist. Syn's guitar is a tribute to the late great Dimebag Darrell, who too had a Confederate flag guitar. As for Shadows, while he was alright when I hung out with them he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. I can imagine he missed the Nazi part of Skrewdriver all together.

No, Avenged Sevenfold is not black metal. In their earlier albums they were metalcore, and their latest albums have been hard rock and heavy metal.
