No the games are sold from steam are for steam if you dont buy the game from steam it will not connect you to their network where you can achive the trophies ect. how ever if you already got it you can click top left conner and click on Add program you can add anything to steam from Ventrilo chat program to battlefield bad company 2 that you purchased even though its not from steam you can add the game to your steam collection so when you start steam you can click on the game from there to start it. Once again that will not add your game to their network because you didnt purchase it from them its just to make things easier for you.

MW2 has smaller maps, faster paced game play and various kill streaks. BF2 on the other hand is slower paced, contains destructible buildings and walls, bullet drop and much more but is more realistic. both games are great and I enjoy playing both of them
