Is disturbed really a Satan band?

No disturbed is not a satanic band. It just so happen their music sound s pretty dark but if you listen to the lyrics closely you can tell that their music isn't satanic and sometimes about over coming hard times.

Probably not, they are simpy a metal band who use Satanic and other imagery to sell their records. Put it this way, anyone can draw a picture of the devil but it doesn't make them a devil worshipper. Likeways anyone can write or sing a song about anything, the Devil included, without neccessarily buying into their subject matter. People sing songs about falling in love all the time but it doesn't mean they are actually going through those emotions everytime they sing the song does it?

how are you going to say they are satanic at all, they speak of deep thoughts and NOT in literal. and for all you who will die thinking they are because you are just to stubborn and TIED to religion, music doesn't make you do things, its a choice. im a christian but a very down to earth person, i don't take it all will listen to what iv said but i never planed for it either, those who do know all literal meaning is blunt, disturbed's lyrics are to abstract to be taken bluntly.

RE: I'm a christian too and not gay, but i loved disturbed ever since I've heard stricken and the sickness my freshman year. I wish i could say they aren't satanic, but after watching "the animal" music video it's kinda difficult to say they aren't. I know wat it's like to have a bad day and you go to music to make u feel better and i did that with disturbed.

No music doesn't make you do things, but it does have an influence and it can be evil. Think about it, when God created Lucifer (Satan) he made him the musician in heaven. Satan is the first, and i hate to say it, but the best musician ever. God uses people through music, but Satan does as well. Now am I sayin that every secular artist is Satanic, of course not. But somehow someway he uses them, whether it's about sex, drugs, drinking, and yes also songs that worship Satan or they say that hell belongs to them, which is what disturbed said in that song and video "the animal's soul is mine" the animal is known as the beast and we are all familiar with 666, the number of the beast that literally takes your soul and you are bound to hell by taking that number. Now am I saying that other secular artist know what theyre doing and it's their fault and that they know that Satan is using them, Heck no. That's why we must pray for all people, they have no idea what theyre doing thru their music and it's sad. Then theyre bands like disturbed that do know tha Satan is using them and they continue to serve him. No see the song animal is about turning into a werewolf not anything satanic, unless you think werewolves are satanic.

well, i agree music is a source of releif and relaxation to many but it doesnt mean that you arent influensed by it... don't you get that 'high' feeling when you listen to some of their songs and not just thiers.. but that doesnt mean you are gonna turn around and become this Satan worshiper just cuz you listen to Disturbed.. but you might find yourself developing a liking for that "pumped up" feeling it gives you.. see that's how Satan does it! you have to be realalistic and honest with yourself when it comes to this stuff... i do strongly agree that Satan influenses through music and uses bands to do so.. have you seen the video for Asylum? i mean come on! it doesnt get much worse than that.. is that not sick? i know disturbed music is good and i cant help but like their songs but that doesnt mean i like their lyrics... its probably not the greatest idea to invest in bands like this because it doesnt make much since to say that you are a christian and go to church and follow Christ and then to go home and listen to Disturbed..... to say that they arent satanic.... uh guys its a lil obvious i mean look at there album covers they got the cross, penetagon, and horns all in one.... seriously it also does not suprise me that i saw a video of the lead singer talking about the song "Prayer" he said it emphazised the book of Job..... but when you see the video and read the lyrics i get a lil confused at how that relates... but then there is the song Land of Confusion.. he seems to get on the same page as i would be on.... this is a lil confusing huh? it seems like to me that bands like this are mostly influensed by negative emotion and then every once in a while they do songs like Land of Confusion that can be rather up lifting.... it sounds like God and Satan may be fighting over them... i feel bad for the members.. it doesnt make sense to me why they would surround themselves with lyrics like they do and emotions that they emphasize... hate anger depression.. rarely do i ever hear lyrics like hope and love.. so if you listen to a song and get a bad feeling in your gut you should trust your instincts cuz they are probably right.. im not saying that you should fear music that involves any kind of sin.... cuz i couldn't give up listening to rock.. i love it too much! plus i don't think you would be listening to much music if you did that cuz we do live in a broken world.... but you should be careful at how you let it influense you

lmao. I find it amazing that some people can b so dam stupid and actaully beleive the bs that they write. Distubed music, lyrics, and videos are completely and totally 100% satanic. Its a no brainer.

A:Of course not. Simple literary analysis of their lyrics shows reveals no Satanic tilt. Their lyrics have a tendency to list towards the supernatural, but this does not brand them devil worshipers.

The concerned parent and/or person too timid or lazy to get their hands dirty and actually do some research is oft eager to cite the song Down With The Sickness, which has incredibly dark lyrics and eventually devolves into sobbing accusations of a child with an abusive mother. The song itself sings of letting hate flow into the singer, which is, in this God fearing English major's humble opinion refers to the dark side of human nature being given free reign over someone who has given themselves over to revenge.

However, Disturbed tends to become less dark as they release future albums (their newest album, Asylum has no swears and a near positive slant, a far cry from The Sickness). If you need to read this in order to decide if they are appropriate for you or someone you know, they probably aren't. But they are not the devil worshippers nor are they trying to poison and corrupt the souls of the innocent. They're just a metal band writing lyrics about the darker side of life.

Is this band for everyone? Of course not. But that does not in any way brand them Satanists anymore than John Milton was a Satanist for writing Lucifer's famous line, "Tis better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven" in his epic Paradise Lost. Or, to put it another way, it would be tantamount to saying that because Metallica has a song about werewolves, they must go around savaging the weak and vulnerable. When one backs away from the issue, it becomes far more clear

Music can't be satanic. People can be satanic but the members of Disturbed are most definitely not.
