Ah, well, there are a lot. If you're just talking modern flutes, there's the regular Flute, the Western concert flute. Then there's the familiar piccolo, bass and alto. There are also more rare types, like treble, soprano, contra-alto, contrabass, subcontrabass, double contrabass, and hyperbass. That's eleven. Then I'm not sure if you want to include less modern flutes like the pan flute and the Greek double flute. If that's the case, the list might go on forever, as the flute is a very old instrument and nearly every major civilization created their own take on it.
Altos and mezzosAlto is one vocal range lower than mezzosoprano. For more information, go to en.wikipedia.org and type in "alto" and "mezzosoprano". There are some nice graphics on Wikipedia that can show you the difference in the notes that altos sing compared to the ones that mezzosopranos sing.More importantly, the way to distinguish between a tenor and an alto is very simple. Only one has hair on their back.[ a tenor is usually a guy and alto's are more common in women ( XoXo Team Jasper Fan ]you usually hear Mezzosoprano in Opera. You hear alto there too but alto is more common in girls that sing todays music such as Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato. An example of a mezzosoprano would be Emmy Rossum. Emmy sings in The Phantom of the Opera as Christine Daee. Christine Daee is suppose to be a Soprano but Emmy is a mezzosoprano so her voice is much lower in octave than the original script had called for. Can you sing both mezzosoprano and alto? You sure can. I sing both alto and mezzosoprano. Can you sing both mezzosoprano and soprano? No and yes. If you can control your octaves you can go higher and sing Soprano if you sing mezzo but only if youre trained, which I was. Soprano usually breaks glass. Mezzo does not break glass. From high to low: Female: Soprano - Mezzosoprano - AltoMale: Tenor - Baritone - Bass
Yes, it is. The "A" on a flute is the same as the "A" on a piano, unlike the (common, soprano) clarinet which in the key of "B flat".
soprano saxophone
The answer depends on the type of flute you're using! A standard flute is pitched in the key of C, and the same goes for the piccolo (pitched in C, but sounds an octave higher) and the bass flute (in the key of C but sounds an octave lower). The soprano flute is pitched in the key of Eb. The alto and treble flute are both in the key of G. The tenor flute is in the key of Bb.
A soprano voice is the highest pitch in opera music. It is normally considered to be a voice that ranges from around middle C to a high A, or from middle C and about two octaves above that pitch. It is mostly a reference in opera music to the highest women performers.oh yes it is!!
