The seat belt assembly is supposed to be under lifetime warranty from Honda. American Honda is trying to save money by making a distinction between the seat belt assembly's mechanical components (covered by warranty) and electrical components (not covered by warranty), even though the actual warranty (which I still have) doesn't make that distinction. In other words, all seat belt assembly components should be covered for repair/replacement. I filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/index.cfm or call 1-888-327-4236. The NHTSA representative told me that if enough people file a complaint about the seat belt warning sensor, the NHTSA will make American Honda recall the part(s) as defective. Even if you've already repaired the seat belt assembly, you should still file a complaint, because you can get a reimbursement for the repair if there's a recall. The NHTSA rep also told me that I should file a complaint against American Honda with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for Honda's failure to uphold their lifetime warranty on the seat belt assembly. I did that at: https://www.FTCComplaintAssistant.gov/ To make your warranty complaint filing easier, here's American Honda's corporate info: American Honda Motor Company 1919 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501 phone: 800-999-1009
how much the fine for first time under arm seat belt fine
Check the wiring to the seat belt anchors. I would suspect you will find a wire loose, broken, or unhooked.
the receiver for the belt has a sensor. if it fails the light will continue to flash even though the belt is buckled. replace it!
Ohio does not consider a seat belt violation to be a moving offense so they do not assess points on them. Seat belt fines for drivers is a $30 fine, and for passengers it is a $20 fine in Ohio.
Bring it back to dealer. Seat belts usually carry a lifetime warranty to include their mechanism.
Once you put your seat belt on and buckle it the chime will go off. If it does not then take the car to the dealer for warranty repair.
The Honda dealer will replace your seat belt assembly under warranty, may have to order the parts, I had an 1988 Accord that the seat belt was replaced 3 times, no charge under warranty.
Just connect you seat belt and the bell will go off. If it is staying on even after you connect the seat belt take it back to your Honda dealer for repair, as it is still under warranty.
Yes all Escorts have a lifetime warranty on the seat belts. Federal law mandates. Not in UK

No. Five years.
2007 vehicle that is still under warranty. If you have a problem with the seat belt alarm, then take it to the dealer for repair under the warranty. If you are just trying to avoid wearing your seat belt, then I will not help you as this is just plain ignorant. Seat belts save lives and this has been proved in thousands of accidents. Don't be a idiot, put on your seat belt.
Yes, by buckling your seat belt. If that does not work, take it back to the dealer for repair. It is still under warranty. Just reach under the drivers seat and unplug the wiring harness plug and your noise will go away....
yes, you do have a lifetime warranty on your seatbelts. i had the exact same problem with my drivers side seatbelt latch, and i went in to my local Honda dealership and they ordered and installed the part for free.
To repair a seat belt that does not retract, the first thing to look for is something that is stuck in the seat belt housing. Sometimes things can fall into this area and jam it up. Also check for a twisted seat belt.
Wear your seatbelt and the alarm will go off. If it will not go off when you hook the belt up, take it back to the dealer for repair. It is still under warranty.
