Is it wrong for a 17 year old girl to date a boy 3 yrs younger than her?

If, by dating you mean just being friends, going to movies, listening to music together--if that is all you mean, then it is okay. If you are talking about entering into a sexual relationship, yes, it is wrong. You must remember the law. Children under the age of 18 years old are commiting rape if they are having sex, consentual or not. You are a child just as much as he is a child. Neither one of you are considered by the law as being capable of having adult mental abilities. And none of that is taking morality into consideration. It is morally wrong for both of you children to be having a sexual relationship with any person of any age. I don't understand the reasoning behind the idea of young people engaging in sex. It is not love. It is pure, animal lust. If you want love, then develop a real relationship with a person near your own age, who has your same interests, who is a true joy to be with. A person develops a loving relationship over a lengthy period of time, not overnight. I am apologetic to God when I say that I part ways with His idea that we humans MUST be married in order to have sex that is acceptable to Him. I will say nothing else about that. It is extremely base, insulting, offensive behavior that I see on the TV. Those people who flaunt their sexuality; who take a repulsive, in-your-face, disgusting pleasure in showing to the world how low, and animalistic they are. And that is what they have accomplished: animal behavior. I truly hope you have higher expectations of yourself. And if you respect yourself, and your friend, you will see that for what it is. You will have more love and respect for each other by aspiring to be human beings of the higher order. People who do not need to pant, slobber, writhe in public. People who do not need or want to be slaves to their bodily functions and emotions. And most especially have respect for the law of this land. Be friends first. Allow nature to take its course over a long period of time. If you and this person "click" together, and love each other, then by the time you are old enough according to the law of this land to have sex with each other, you will both be ready. Having sex with each other should, and will, be a loving act with mutual respect. It will be the beautiful experience it was meant to be! Cathy Williams

It isn't a good idea. While there is no law about dating, should you engage in any sexual activity you could be charged with criminal charges depending on where you live. The 13 year old is too young to date. Go find a person near your age.

Your not 18 so i don't think so. Alot of my friends dated 17 year-olds when they were 13

If you and your parents are okay with it sure. Look how many marriages there are with people not being the same age. As long as you are happy its fine, because its your life :)
