For now I only remember two styles, but the first was Mento, a traditional Jamaican folk style of music. The one that followed after that was Ska music that was brought back as unwanted records from America to Jamaica. I remember that the style after Ska music was a combination of Mento and Ska music, but I can't remember what it's called. Hope this helps!
