At first it could be uncomfortable, but I don't think the cello should hurt a back or neck if you hold it right.
The saxophone is an medium instrument to learn but because you have a back ground in the Cello the Saxophone will be a little easier. The only hard thing about learning the Saxophone is the mouth position and playing the notes.
because a cello is a big violin and it is very hard to make and the reason why the toy factory can not make a toy cello is because it is very hard to make but only if it is the size of babies and little kids
The difficulty of playing the cello (violoncello) varies from moderately hard to extremely difficult. You must learn the exact places on the fingerboard on which to put your fingers for it to be totally in tune. You must hold the cello and bow right. It is difficult, but gets very easy when you have been playing for seven years as I have.
If you want to learn how to play the cello, I recommend that you buy your own cello. The sizes are 1/2 size which is for very young and very small kids and/or small adults (extrmley small adults) 3/4 size is for someone around 4'7-4'11, and Full Size which is for older or bigger people. It takes a while to get the rich sound that you want to hear out of the cello, don't get discouraged!!
If you know a really good music teacher, record the music and ask them if they can translate the music from the soundtrack into sheet music. If they are a good enough Cello player they can tell you what the notes are and write it down on a black piece of music bars. The time signature, sharps, and flats are going to be hard to identify. I personally love the music and want the sheet music for it.

well soft cello cases are soft, so it doesn't offer as much protection. but it is a lot lighter and hard cello cases are hard, and offers a lot more protection
A cello is a completely different clef (bass clef, flute uses treble), technique, key signatures (flute is in concert tuning, while cello is not), and sound. Starting off it will hurt your fingers since the strings are more unforgiving that the flute's valves. The more you practice the better you will become. If you are just starting I would recommend you find a cello teacher.
It depends on the determination you have for it. Practice and give time!

I studied the cello notes and where they go, but I don't know that everyone can just play both, sometimes its hard.
Learning anything can be difficult, but when you stay with it, you can be a great cellist! It takes patients and practice.

DON'T PLAY HARD TO GET IF SHE IS PLAYING HARD TO GET. PLAY HARD TO GET WHEN SHE DOESN'T FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOUR BREAKUP.
He seems to be playing better recently. I have not seen him run so hard in a few years.
Well most insterments are hard but, guitar and piano will help you read notes better. Thats it. Good Luck if you try.
