NO. I would say that rap music had very little influence on the election of Obama as President. It is no doubt true that most of the devotees of rap voted for him, if they voted, but they would have voted for any black candidate, if they voted. Obama won because he was able to articulate the Democrat's position and convince people that he was the one most able to do something to solve the problems of the country.
"Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson was the first music video to air on MTV by a black artist.

Elvis came next after taking one of their songs.

No. Barack Obama was the First US black president. Bill Clinton is often humourously referred to as the US' first black president, as during his presidency, he was relatively good for African Americans. Some examples include, economic policy that would benefit poorer Americans, vigorously kissing black babies during his presidential campaign, and having oral sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. The implication is that since Monica Lewinsky is a relatively plumper individual, Clinton could be considered black. Clinton fits several (politically incorrect) black stereotypes as made popular by rap music among other sources: being a 'player', liking women with large behinds, and playing the saxophone (as Jazz music was first popular among African Americans).
